Explosion-Proof Valve ActuatorDesigned to be the straight shooters of the actuator world, these electric devices convert electrical energy into linear motion. Their specialized circuits limit sparks and thermal effects in a hazardous environment, keeping them safe from internal explosions that can trigger external ones. They’re a go-to for oil/gas, chemical/pharma and other facilities handling combustible materials. And if things do go awry, their built-in fail-safes can automatically revert the system to a safer position.


Equipped with flameproof enclosures, conduit seals and dual power shaft seals, these pneumatic actuators are certified for class I div 1 conditions. The dual seals on the power shaft isolate the interior from external explosive environments and prevent flammable gas or dust from entering the actuator’s body.


These units are great for remote locations with limited access to power or power options like solar, batteries and fuel cells. They can run on either AC or DC power, and they reset to a fail-safe position during a power outage.


They’re also perfect for harsh environments that can get a bit hazy, such as water treatment, ship, textile, food processing and building automation. They have small operation torque and can be controlled by a wide variety of signals.
