Fenbendazole for Humans

 Fenbendazole is an anthelmintic medication that has been used to treat worm infestations in animals since the 1970s. However, it has also been shown to be effective against a variety of human cancers in recent research and studies that have been sent for peer review. Currently, fenbendazole is available to humans as an over-the-counter medication sold under the brand names Pancur and Safe-Guard. It is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and converted to its active form, oxfendazole. Oxifendazole is metabolized by liver enzymes to the inactive derivative, fenbendazole sulfone.

In laboratory tests, fenbendazole has been shown to interfere with the growth of cancer cells by starving them of the glucose they need to survive. It can be added to other treatment options such as radiation therapy, surgery, sodium dichloroacetate (DCA) and berberine to boost their effectiveness against tumors.

Other evidence suggests that fenbendazole may help to reactivate the p53 gene inside the cell. It is believed that reactivating the p53 gene will trigger the body’s natural cancer-fighting systems to eliminate any cells that have become mutated and cancerous.

In addition, fenbendazole has recently been shown to be more effective than mebendazole and other drugs against Cryptococcus neoformans, an opportunistic fungus that exists all over the world and can cause meningitis in some people. The combination of fenbendazole with other antifungals has been found to be even more effective than mebendazole alone against this opportunistic fungus.  fenbendazole for humans
